UCLan at South West Astronomy Fair 9th August - update
9th August 2008
Professor Don Kurtz (an international authority on Asteroseismology)attended the South West Astronomy Fair on the 9th August 2008. Despite the foggy weather, the event was well attended and Don spoke to many visitors interested in his research or our distance learning courses.
There were planetarium shows throughout the day, historic telescope tours, lectures, trade stands, refreshments and raffle prizes. The lecture programme included Dr Chris Lintott, Professor Alan Chapman, and Tim Naylor, the Norman Lockyer Professor at Exeter University.
