About Us
The distance learning programme is taught primarily by staff within the Jeremiah Horrocks Institute, who are active in astronomy research. On occasion we also collaborate with other academic staff at the University with specialisms such as maths, biology or history. The programme has been operating since 1996, with a gradual build up to a full undergraduate degree, still the only Astronomy Bachelor of Science honours degree designed specifically for distance learning students.
